With great sadness, we note the passing of a very good friend of the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, Barbara Crede. Barbara and her husband George have been dedicated supporters of the Homestead. One of our great joys is learning about the multitude of soldiers involved in the American Revolution as portrayed in George’s hand-made wooden statues donated to the Homestead. Barbara’s family has designed the Homestead as a recipient for donations in her memory, and can be made to ematreasurer@ctdar.org.

The Oliver Ellsworth Homestead re-opened for house tours on May 20, 2023 and continues on third Saturdays 11 am – 2 pm. You can also find us on Facebook. We encourage all history lovers to join the ‘Friends of Oliver Ellsworth Homestead’ on our website.
