Major Exterior Restoration of Oliver Ellsworth Homestead

The Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution is committed to the on-going maintenance, repairs, and restoration of the Homestead as needed. After the 2017-2020 replacement of the wood shingle roof, gutters, chimney repair, and granite stair entry, the CTDAR focused on exterior work in 2024. Forty nine original windows were restored, along with the installation of storm windows. The exterior wood siding was repaired and repainted; the brick terrace was rebuilt.
